With the use of some simple tools you likely already have on your tool belt, and with a decent do-it-yourself ability, you can probably install your own heated flooring.

After measuring and ordering your supplies, the first thing you will want to do is take off your flooring. It’s a good idea to start in a small space like the bathroom!

Once you have revealed the subfloor, the real fun begins. Install cement board on top of the subfloor. Once that is down, take the heating mat, which includes the tubing, and test it to make sure it fits the space.

Cut out some grooves in the cement board and the bottom wall plate to house the conduit, power lead, and thermostat wires.

Install the mat using glue and tape as directed. Set up the wiring.

Put in the flooring and enjoy this simple installation of heating in your bathroom. Your family will thank you!
